The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

The tragic news was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio he co-founded.

The influential video game developer died after his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, according to.
