Passionate fans of Ariana Grande are urging that a man who breached a fence and touched the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A viral clip depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a event pathway accompanied by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly pulled the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though court documents showed that he was due to appear on the next day. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile contains recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last winter.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," wrote an Instagram follower, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user remarked.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Numerous fans criticized Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her May 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" wrote one more response on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while others demanded social media platforms to block Mr Wen's content.

Reaction and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed startled when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be seen reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of supporters had assembled in a crowd of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it commenced.

The movie, to be released on the 21st of November, is the follow-up of a two-part interpretation of the popular Broadway and West End production Wicked, which revolves around the surprising friendship between two very different sorceresses.

The musical itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and received a dozen Oscar nominations, winning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
