Over 50 lone young refugees who disappeared soon after arriving the UK and while under the supervision of the authorities are yet to be found, as per information obtained.

Many of the missing children came in dinghies or concealed in the backs of vehicles and are thought to have been taken by smugglers. This region is commonly the area where they initially reach.

Government Figures Indicates Alarming Numbers

Disclosed information has recorded 345 children going missing from local care, with 56 of those still missing.

Between 2021 and 2023, when designated facilities for children functioned in addition to other sites in various locations, 132 children went missing from these facilities. Of these, 108 were subsequently located but 24 are remain unaccounted for.
