Combatants laugh as they move on the back of a transport truck, speeding by a series of multiple corpses and driving towards the setting Sudanese sunset.

"Observe this extensive accomplishment. Look at this act of genocide," a fighter exclaims.

The fighter beams as he points the camera on his person and his fellow fighters, their paramilitary insignia on display: "The victims are all going to perish like this."

These individuals are exulting in a atrocity that relief organizations suspect killed more than two thousand people in the Sudanese city of el-Fasher during October.

A Community Cut Off from the World

After maintaining the community under blockade for almost an extended period, from the summer the paramilitary force advanced to consolidate its dominance and blockade the leftover inhabitants.

Satellite images show that troops started to erect a massive earth barrier - a built-up sand barrier - encircling the edges of el-Fasher, blocking roads and halting relief supplies.

While the blockade escalated, multiple individuals were murdered in an RSF strike on a mosque on mid-September, while the international organization reported dozens additional were slain in drone and heavy weapon strikes on a makeshift community in fall.

Disturbing Footage Depicts Unarmed Individuals Shot

At dawn on 26 October the paramilitary force overwhelmed the remaining government defenses and took control of the primary headquarters in the community, the headquarters of the Military Unit, as the government forces retreated.

Among the most horrific footage to appear and examined revealed the results of a massacre at a university building on the western side of the city, where dozens corpses were visible scattered over the floor.

A senior person clad in a white tunic sat alone amongst the bodies. He rotated to gaze as a fighter armed with a rifle walked descending the staircase in the direction of the individual. Raising his rifle, the gunman fired a single round at the man, who dropped to the ground still.

"Why is this one yet alive," another combatant cried. "Kill this person."

Orbital photography taken on October 26th seemed to confirm that killings were furthermore conducted on the thoroughfares of the city, based on a analysis issued by the Yale Humanitarian Research Lab.

An eyewitness who communicated said the individual had observed "multiple of our relatives being executed - they were collected in one place and each one eliminated."

Militia Commanders Seek to Carry Out Damage Control

During the period that ensued from the atrocity, RSF leader conceded that his forces had carried out "violations" and announced the incidents would be examined.

Included among arrested was after a investigation recording his killings. Deliberately orchestrated and modified recording published on the militia's authorized messaging platform show the commander being escorted into a cell at a detention facility on the perimeter of al-Fashir.

Meanwhile, the RSF and associated online profiles started trying to reframe the account.

Updates presenting its militiamen providing supplies to civilians were shared by various accounts, while the militia's media office released several recordings allegedly to display the compassionate handling of government captives.

In spite of the online effort being deployed by the RSF, their conduct in el-Fasher have sparked worldwide anger.
